top tips: what to carry

 

As we transition from season to season and the types of rides we do we thought we’d have a look into what to carry whilst out on a ride. Here Cheri Mills gives us an insight into what she carries.

What to carry: SHORT LAPS

// Hip bag.
// Hydration pack or bottle on the bike.
// Small first-aid kit.
// Thin jacket.
// Foil blanket.
// Tyre inflator.
// Tyre levers.
// Tyre patch.
// Tubeless repair kit.
// Multitool with chain breaker.
// Chain link.



// Snack.
// Spare inner tube strapped to the frame. 
// Tyre patch.
// Tubeless repair kit.
// Multitool with chain breaker.
// Chain link.
// Snack.
// Spare inner tube strapped to the frame. 

What to carry: BIG MOUNTAIN DAY

// Rucksack with waterproof cover and whistle.
// Hydration pack.
// Emergency shelter.
// Comprehensive first aid kit.
// Foil blanket.
// Waterproof jacket with hood.
// Spare Layer.
// Buff.
// Map.
// Food. (Lots)
// Rear light.
// Bike lock.
// Tyre patch.
// Tyre inflator.
// Tubeless repair kit.
// Inner tube.
// Pump with gaffer tape and insulation tape strapped to it. 



// Shock pump.
// Multitool inc allen keys, torx and screwdrivers..
// Multitool 10 pc, inc pliers, knife, scissors.
// Tyre lever inc chain pliers.
// Cable ties.
// Inner gear cable.
// Sheath to thread cable through frame.
// Box of odd bolts, washers and spacers.
// Chain tool.
// Chain link.
// Half worn brake pads. (Its harder to squeeze a new set in on the trail)
// Rear Mech hanger.
// Seat post collar (incase my drop post fails).

What to carry: TOOLBAG

// Tyre lever tool inc chain links.
// Brake pads
// Chain tool

// 10 pc Multitool inc pliers, knife, scissors.
